Fall in Love with our Autumn Apparel

As summer comes to a close, we embark on a new beginning with September. Many of our Harmony babes are returning to campus this fall and we wanted to ensure that you walk onto campus with a pep in your step, spreading positivity. With this in mind, we launched our new fall collection of designed in-house by our Graphic Designer Courtney and printed with eco-friendly ink using a direct-to-garment (DTG) printing method! Check out our new styles and fall re-designs of our best-sellers and learn a bit more about what inspired our fall collection!

Which design is your favourite this season and why?

Courtney: This season my favourite design is our One Day at A Time Crewneck in chocolate brown. I am a sucker for brown anything and I love the message that this sweater portrays. Taking life one day at a time and not overthinking what is to come next. Letting yourself slow down and be in the present is something that I myself need reminding of constantly and this chocolaty brown sweater does that for me!

Take us through the process of designing a new apparel piece!

Courtney: There really is no set process for creating a design. Inspiration can come from anywhere at any time and that is how a design begins. Everyone that works with us is a designer in their own way. We encourage others to share ideas and thoughts on new apparel that way we keep things fresh. Once ideas are tossed around a batch of new designs is created and our creative team gathers for review. This means that we look at each design’s placement, message, colour, and overall if it is something that fits with the Harmony brand. From there, designs are selected to be test printed on different colour swatches so we can see the design off-screen. This is when we really get the feel of the design and usually know right away if we love it or if it isn’t quite right. Seeing designs come to life is one of the most gratifying parts of this job.

What other fall elements are you hoping to bring into more designs this season?

Courtney: We want to focus on the history of Harmony and take a look down memory lane all the way back to 1988.
